Thanks, alaiyo, for positively ruining a potentially productive time at the library--now I'm stuck picking only seven favorite songs!
1. Of Minor Prophets and their Prostitute Wives (Pedro the Lion)--though not very musically complex, this song hits me every time with the pursuing grace of my Father.
2. Separate Ways (Journey)--because it is so much fun to bang out on the drums
3. What Wondrous Love is This
4. God Thou Art Love (Craig Courtney arraingment)--both because it comes from a Robert Browning poem, and because it made me cry every time I sang it for chorale. Abundant joy in the love of the Father, and yet a recognition that all is not well on this earth.
5. Will you still love me? (Chicago)--mainly because I'm sappy and I'm getting married soon.
6. Don't Dream it's Over (Sixpence None the Richer)--because this is the song that my then-husband and I will be walking down the aisle to after we are married; what can I say, my mind revolves around the wedding these days.
7. The Blitz (from the Narnia Soundtrack)--because it has a violin sequence that I just love; and because I can't think of a really good 7th choice.
I swear I'll post something really thoughtful and deep soon--don't worry.

Now, now, Amy dear, I *said* to do this only if you were inclined to. So don't blame me for wasting your time . . . :)
"What Wondrous Love is This" is one of my favorite hymns, as well. Afraid I'm so musically illiterate that I don't have a clue about the rest!
How are wedding plans coming? Email me your snail mail address sometime --
Love you, dear heart!
Beth
