"Snowstorm Amy"
Yes, this one is so good it's named after me! It is supposed to snow for the next three days straight. Not that this means I will get out of work, just that the drive to work will be much more interesting than it has been lately.
With that in mind, I must brave the treacherous roads even now.
I do love Wisconsin winters! So much more convincing than the piddly Tennessee snows, which consist of two snowflakes or so.

Ah, yes . . . Rachel Held Evans had a great column on Southern "snowstorms" the other day and the panic engendered by the least hint that those two snowflakes might be on the way. I say, if one must have winter cold, one should at least get a beautiful snow with it now and then!
Hope your Christmas is wonderful, and do be careful on those snowy roads.
Love,
Beth
We finally had a hard frost last night and I had to scrape ice off my windshield this morning before driving to school... I was so happy; I miss Asheville and the (slightly) colder weather. Have a safe and joyful Christmas!
Well, it turned out to be not quite as wonderful as the name would imply! It only really blizzarded for one day, and since then it's just been bitingly cold and a little icy.
I do agree that snow is the only thing that makes Wisconsin winters bearable--there's nothing like sitting by the fire with snowflake falling outside and the wind whistling across the chimney.
Megan, I'm glad you got to enjoy a little piece of winter. States like Florida that don't have any seasons are just no fun. You need a little frost once in awhile to clear out the sinuses.
Love you both.
